We created our own time tracking web app timeghost as a solution for our own needs within our company structure. That’s why timeghost is developed to be a very intuitive and flexible time tracking tool for companies or freelancers who want to track their working hours spent on projects.
Microsoft Gold Partner
And since we are a Microsoft Gold Partner and most of our own projects relied on Microsoft infrastructure such as SharePoint or Office 365, we designed timeghost to fit right into the Office 365 environment.
Therefore, it is ready to remind you about all your Office 365 activities in its Feed, if you want to.
All you need to do is to give timeghost the permission to feed its Feed with your Office 365 apps.
How to achieve this is explained in this knowledge base article right here.
timeghost and Office 365 – How are they connected?
So, a scenario that you can realize with timeghost could look like this:
You planned your weekly sprint in Azure DevOps and created all your tasks there. Now you can activate the DevOps work items right in your Feed and they will be displayed in your very own timeghost Feed.
That way you can easily drag and drop them on the matching projects and track your time that you spent working on them.
The timeghost Feed will channel all your activities that you perform in Office 365 right to the Feed. All you have to do is drag and drop those activities and tasks on the matching projects.
Work in teams with Microsoft Teams and timeghost
Another way timeghost and Office 365 perfectly match is the native timeghost Microsoft Teams app we published. The app is fully integrated in Teams and all features are included.
That way you can keep all your work within Teams. Right from the start it was our goal to change the workflow of our users for the better by making it more efficient to track their times spent working on projects. And by integrating timeghost directly to Microsoft Teams we made a big step towards that goal. You only need to install the timeghost Teams App directly from the AppSource Store in the application. You can find a manual on how to do this right here. And since you use your Office 365 account in order to access timeghost you’re set and done in only a few seconds.
Other ways to connect Office 365 and timeghost
We published a Microsoft Power Automate connector for timeghost which functions as a link between Office 365, timeghost and many other services. Using the Power Automate connector our users are able to set more complex workflows and automations that will enable them to enhance their workflows be more efficient.
For example, you’ll be able to set up individual workflows like creating a project in timeghost every time you mark an email in your Outlook inbox. Or you can automatically send out an email notifying your clients that a project has been completed. You can really customize the way you work with timeghost and Office 365.
What comes next?
Of course, our plans of integrating timeghost to Office 365 are not yet done and we are always looking for new ways to deepen the connection that we already set up. Therefore, we want to give you a little glimpse into what the future holds for timeghost and Office 365.
We are currently in the development process of bringing your Microsoft Teams calls right to your timeghost Feed. That means in one of the next updates you will get the chance to integrate Teams to your Feed and all your calls will be shown there with the right length that you spent in the call, who attended the call and when did you leave the call.
The next big change that aligns with our deep ties to Office 365 is integrating SharePoint files directly to your Feed. This will enable you to see the SharePoint files that you worked on in your Feed and track them right there by dragging and dropping them on the matching projects.
