timeghost and Freshdesk – an amazing connection

With the Power Automate connectors you have the possibility to connect different workflows with timeghost. Our time recording software has 24 Power Automate flows that you can integrate into our software. In a recent blog entry, we’ve already introduced three flows how you can use our application in combination with Trello.

In today’s blog post, we’ll introduce you to another connector – the Power Automate Flow between timeghost and Freshdesk. With it, you’ll never forget a Freshdesk ticket again when entering your working hours. We show you how to integrate the flow into our application.

What is Freshdesk?

Freshdesk is a customer support software for companies of any size. The included tools allow you to quickly, effectively and partially automated answer customer concerns via tickets, chats or integrated knowledge base. You will also find detailed reports on productivity and customer satisfaction.

Freshdesk and timeghost

The Power Automate Flow allows you to display your Freshdesk tickets in the timeghost feed. When a new ticket appears in Freshdesk, it is automatically displayed in the timeghost feed. The ticket can be immediately assigned to a task and a project as a time entry. A great way to reduce manual time entry and edit your Freshdesk tickets “live” in our application.

How to connect?

To integrate the Freshdesk – timeghost workflow, you must first click on “Feed your Feed” in timeghost, then click on the Freshdesk button under “Custom”. The tab “Freshdesk” will bring you to the website where you log in to your Freshdesk account.  You will provide the following information to make the signup successful.

Once you have entered this information and clicked “create”, you can view your Freshdesk tickets that are created in our time recording software.In the following we want to show you with a small case study how the ticket creation process of Freshdesk is displayed automatically in timeghost.

Create a ticket in Freshdesk and enter it in timeghost

If you have a new ticket in your CRM that you want to display in our time tracking tool, you must create it in Freshdesk beforehand. Let’s call the request “Request X”.  After we have entered the information for the ticket and clicked on “Create”, the ticket will be displayed in the ticket system at Freshdesk.

Simultaneously, this ticket is displayed as an entry in the feed of timeghost and can immediately be posted in as time in the corresponding project.

You only need to install the Teams App directly from the AppSource Store in the application. You can find a manual on how to do this right here. The app includes all features that you know from the web client and since you use your Office 365 account in order to access our tracking tool.
